The founder Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation RAAF Senator Adesoji Akanbi has secured approval of N500,000 business support for traders, businessmen and artisans in Oyo State.
The approval came after the credentials of 100 applicants were thoroughly screened.
While speaking to FreshPage after the approval of business support, Senator Akanbi said he was happy that the business support has been disbursed to beneficiaries which can be used to drive the growth of their businesses.
Senator Akanbi pioneered support for artisans and traders during the regime of former Governor of Oyo State, late Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina.
Okanlomo of Ibadanland inaugurated a pet programme under Lam’s administration for poverty eradication tagged ‘LAMARP’. The programme enabled artisan group to obtain a sum of N500,000 to N1,000,000 to support their business. More than 50 groups with over 50,000 membership benefitted from the scheme between 1999 and 2000.
He enjoyed beneficiaries not to divert the business support for another purpose. He urged over 100 applicants that are waiting for approval to remain calm that he is doing everything possible to secure approval for them within short period of time.
