Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi who understands the value of commencing any activity with prayer on Friday, 2nd January, 2024 organized a special prayer session at his palatial Jericho residence, in Ibadan for his newly wed children; Fatimah and Idris Akanbi.

The event which took place inside family mosque situated at his expansive mansion had in attendance prominent Islamic scholars, imams and missioners of Muslim organization in Oyo State.
The couple; Fatimah, is a Canadian trained Chartered Accountant while Idris is a UK trained Civil Engineer. The bride, Fatimah was ushered into Akanbi’s family with prayers session after the elaborate wedding held in Abuja.
The prayer session was conducted by prominent Islamic Scholars, Imams,and missioners who are representatives of various Islamic associations, organizations and societies. Some among those present were :

While giving his vote of thanks, Sen Rilwan Akanbi mentioned that his late Dad, Alhaji (Chief) M.O Akanbi ,the 3rd Babasale Musulumi engaged the leading clerics for such a prayer when he got married too many years back. He showed his appreciation and thankfulness to the Islamic community and those who graced the prayer session.
