The former senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has hailed supreme court judgement which pronounced the sacking of Oyo ALGON chairmen illegal and ordered payment of their full salaries and allowances.
Senator Akanbi described the judgement as victory for the rule of law.
“I want to specially congratulate Oyo ALGON Chairmen for their doggedness and steadfastness during the dark days. The light has come, supreme court has ridiculed executive rascality that led to the sacking of all duly elected LG chairmen.
“Today’s victory is a morale booster for Oyo APC and a way of restoring confidence in judiciary as hope of the masses.
“The efforts of legal luminaries like Yusuf Ali, SAN and others who were at the forefront establishing and defending the truth is highly appreciated”.
