One of the oldest professional bodies in Nigeria, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), has conferred prestigious and uncommon Merit Award on Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi.
According to the ICAN, Senator Akanbi was considered for Merit Award following his contribution to humanitarian services that cut across health, education, infrastructure development, scholarships through Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation (RAAF).
The conferment ceremony took place at the Jericho, notable members of the ICAN present at the ceremony, the National President of ICAN, Mallam Tijani Musa Isa was represented by the Chairman, Ibadan and District Society, Alhaji Ayuba Quadri Olayemi and Dr (Mrs) Temitope Babajide.
The elated Senator Akanbi said he felt honoured and humble to receive the prestigious Award from the ICAN. He dedicated the award to presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
