Six students of the University of Ibadan have received their first tranche of awards under the Adebisi Akande Foundation Scholarship.
The Registrar, Mr Ganiyu O. Saliu, fspsp, FCIML, FNIM, MANUPA, MAUA, has presented letters of awards to the students on behalf of the donor, His Excellency, Chief Adebisi Akande, CFR, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Ibadan.

Mr Saliu reiterated that Chief Akande had directed that all allowances due to him as Pro-Chancellor be kept in an account to be disbursed to the best undergraduates in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as scholarship awards.
He said that the students who are currently at the 200 level were selected based on their performances in the last session.
