As part of her unique gesture of reaching out to pilgrims in holy land annually, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu has distributed cooked meals estimated at two thousand five hundred (2,500) quantity to pilgrims in holy land, Saudi Arabia.
Why speaking about what informed the decision of Senator Sunmonu to do so, pilgrims from Osun and Lagos States testified that philanthropic gesture of Senator Sunmonu knows no borders when it comes to reaching out for humanity sake.

“Senator Sunmonu knows impact of reaching out to visitors to house of Allaah, she understands feelings of everyone there and she deemed it fit to reach out to pilgrims in her usual way. Let me state clearly, Mama has been doing this. I am not surprised she incorporated pilgrims from other South West states”.
The beneficiaries of cooked foods were 1,400 pilgrims from Oyo State and their counterparts from Osun and Lagos States.
The elated beneficiaries appreciated Senator Sunmonu and organised a session to worship to almighty Allah and seek His endless blessings on the noble soul of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
The Oyo State pilgrims prayed to Allah to continue ease the affairs of Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu and everyone in Nigeria.
Mecca based caterer who has been preparing the food for over 20 years reported Alhaja’s Sunmonu consistent to take care of pilgrims from Nigeria especially those from Oyo State.
Pilgrims from Lagos and Osun States also testified to the good gesture of Senator Sunmonu, Alhaji Oladeji Muthair from Lagos State said; “I have been hearing that Senator Sunmonu do this in the past, I am a living witness now”.
Alhaji Ajibike Kazeem from Osun State also testified and commended Senator Sunmonu for creating an atmosphere that unite pilgrims from three states in South West.
He called on eminent Nigerians to emulate the act of charity showcased by Senator Sunmonu.
