While presenting his scorecard over the weekend, Constituents and Residents expressed dissatisfaction with the fully constructed hospital, which remains non-functional. This situation raises serious concerns among the community, who anticipated improved access to pediatric healthcare services that were meant to provide critical healthcare intervention in the region.

During the visit, the Honourable Minister provided detailed guidance on the appropriate steps to take for the reactivation of the hospital . He assured Senator Akintunde of the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate once due diligence is followed, including proper documentation, needs assessment, and stakeholder engagement.

Senator Akintunde reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the project is revisited and operates in the interest of the people of Ona-Ara and the wider Oyo Central Senatorial District. He emphasized that no project meant for the well-being of the people should be left abandoned, especially one as critical as a children’s hospital.
