Distinguished Senator Yunus Akintunde, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, has expressed deep condolences on the passing of Pa Sunday Elegbede, a respected community leader in Oyo West Local Government.
In a personal condolence message made available to the media, Senator Akintunde extolled the virtues of the late Pa Elegbede, describing his life as one marked by exemplary leadership, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to humanity.
The Senator noted that Pa Elegbede was widely known for his dedication to community development and his role as a guiding figure within the progressive fold.
“I witnessed and experienced Pa Sunday Elegbede’s kind nature and his deep commitment to the welfare of the people. He was truly a leader of leaders, devoted to the growth and unity of his community, especially within the progressive family,” the Senator stated.
He further remarked that the late elder’s wealth of experience, wise counsel, and selfless service would be greatly missed across Oyo West Local Government, the Oyo Central Senatorial District, and beyond.
“We will dearly miss his invaluable contributions, particularly his guidance and dedication to service. However, we take solace in the enduring legacy he leaves behind as a pillar of leadership and community development,” he added.
Senator Akintunde prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and extended his sympathies to the bereaved family.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and may Almighty God grant comfort and strength to his immediate family and all those he left behind,” he concluded.
