A retired but not tired University of Ibadan Prof. Zoology, Mark Nwagwu on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 proceeded to Post Graduate College of the University of Ibadan to obtain Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) form and applied for Anthropology under the Institute of African Studies.
The elated Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology celebrated his birthday in an uncommon way displayed the filled form on his social media with staff of Post Graduate College.

Prof. Nwagwu wrote: this morning on my 86th birthday anniversary, I was at the Post-graduate School, University of Ibadan and registered for PhD studies in Anthropology in the Institute of African Studies.The staff welcomed me with Happy Birthday songs to my delighted amazement”.

The 12th Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Prof. Idowu Olayinka reacted; “You have made real your ‘threat’ to enrol as a Post Graduate Student in Humanities!
