Prince Kayode Oyetunde Bayewuwon, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC joined leaders, stakeholders and progressive family in the State to celebrate life and time of former governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Prince Bayewuwon extolled virtue of late Ajimobi’s significance, relevance, impact and unblemished legacy left behind.
Prince Bayewuwon said; “Some leaders lose their dignity, relevance and worth while they are still alive, some lose any meaningful relevance or significance as soon as they are departed… and there are leaders like Senator Abiola Ajimobi
Prince Bayewuwon remarks that after 5 years of his ascension to Glory of Senator Ajimobi, his significance, relevance, impact and his legacy are still untarnished; as demonstrated by the number and calibre of leaders from across Oyo State who gathered at his Oluyole residence to mark his fifth remembrance anniversary and prayers with his dear wife and family.
Family members, leaders and stakeholders convened to honour his family, legacy as former governor (2011–2019) and Senator for Oyo South (2003–2007), recalling his impactful development work, bridge-building across tribes, interest groups and service to the state and his party, APC.
There were moving tributes to Senator Ajimobi and his enduring influence in and outside of Oyo state; especially his political influence in APC locally and at the national level.
It underscored the enduring memory of this dear son of Oyo state and his ideals. The attendees were in unison when they said “his memory will continue to live in our hearts”
