Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide on Friday, January 15, 2021 inaugurated the executives of the association in Ona-Ara local government area of Oyo state.

The event which occured at the council hall of Ona-Ara local government, situated in Akanran had in attendance Alhaji Kola Bolomope, President, Ona-Ara Development Forum, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, SA to the Governor of Oyo state on Youths and Sport, Alhaja Kafayat Olagunju, Information Officer of the local government, among other dignitaries.

While delivering lecture on the topic “Impact of Youths in the Present  Political Dispensation in Oyo state”, Hon. Bolarinwa enjoined youths to be responsible, accountable and united; as these are the ingredients needed to liberate the youthful demography of the country.

In her goodwill message, the Information Officer of Ona-Ara local government, who represented the caretaker chairman of, the council, Alhaji Musbaudeen Sanusi Shaba, Mrs Kafayat Olagunju, appreciated the role played by the youths of the local government council during the #EndSARS protest, as they ensured that various police stations within the local government were protected. She appealed to the newly inaugurated executives to be partner in progress with the local government leadership.

In a similar event, Alhaji Kola Bolomope, President ODF, while being inaugurated as the Patron of the association in the council informed those present that his organization has finalized plans to distribute bursaries and scholarships to indigent students of the local government across various institutions of higher learning. He appealed to the teeming youths present at the event to serve as role models to the younger ones.

The newly inaugurated executives were;
Oyebamiji Opeyemi (coordinator),
Jimoh Aminat (Deputy coordinator),
Asunni Abdullahi (Gen Sec),
Abisoye Taofeek ( Director of Sports),
Adebayo Kehinde (Social Director),
Akinlabi Segun (Publicity Secretary),
Olaiya John (Director of Training and Empowerment),
Agboluwaje Hikmat (Welfare Director) and Adebayo Kemisola (AGS).

Schools present for cultural display were: Glorious Group of Schools and Asegun Group of School, Ibadan.
