Travelers and motorists plying Iwo road – Ojoo expressway in Ibadan are finding it hard to reach their various destinations. This is connected with the ongoing construction and extension of Bashorun-Akobo bridge by the State government.

Currently, a portion of the highway has been barricaded while all vehicular movement are directed to another highway to pave way easy operation of crane to lift slabs from the ground and drop it on the already built poles.

Travelers going to Ojoo, Moniya, Oyo and other areas can opt for alternative route from Iwo road to Agodi gate, connect to Secretariat – Bodija and link up UI-Ojoo road.

The transport fares in the axis has increased by 200 to 400 per cent, depending on the bargaining and the area one is going to.
