The Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, FAS, mni, has assured that the Nigeria’s premier varsity will give necessary support to an initiative of a Computational Science Centre for Health and Development for Africa (CSCHDA) to be jointly managed by the University of Ibadan and the University College, London.
He gave this assurance on Friday while receiving the contact person of the University College London, Prof Delmiro Fernández- rezey during a courtesy visit.
The collaboration will be between the Department of Paediatrics and the Department of Computer Science and the University College London.
Professor Adebowale asked the contact person to come up with a detailed Memorandum of Understanding to be jointly signed.
Professor Fernández-rezey has been an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics for the past fifteen years and had closely worked with the College of Medicine.
The University of Ibadan and University College London have a very close past.
