The Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Adeolu Akande on Thursday revalidated his membership with ruling political party in Nigeria, All Progressives Congress (APC).
The revalidation exercise took place at his Ward 8, Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government, Oke Ogun Area of Oyo State.
While speaking after the exercise, Akande charged party faithfuls that the ongoing exercise is designed to strengthen the party in the state towards getting the state back in 2023
Prof. Akande stressed that the registration of new party members and revalidation of old ones is to have a genuine database for largest political party in Africa and to strategically work in boosting the status of the party in Oyo State and by extension Nigeria.
Mrs Modupe Akande, the wife of the NCC Chair utilized the opportunity to register as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the same ward.
The registration and revalidation exercise which kicked off on February 9 is expected to end February 25.
