It was an overflow of joy for some widows in Ibadan as a non-profit organization, Morolake Cares Initiatives (MCI) brings succour to widows in the city.

At the event held in Ashi-Bodija, widows were given food stuffs, beverages and food condiments that can sustain them for days.

The excited widows could not hold their joy as they felt relieved when the founder of the foundation, Rolake Laniyan announced monthly stipends entire 50 widows present of the programme.

Widows unanimously appreciated the gesture from the foundation, one of the attendees, Mrs. Oduntan who lost her husband in 2019 and suffered back injury and spent N4.5million for surgery lauded the initiative of the foundation.

Another widow present at the event, Mrs. Idayat Adedoyin said she lost her Keke NAPEP driver in June 2021 when he was knocked down by reckless Micra driver at the UI second gate along Sango-Ojoo road, Ibadan.
