The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State chapter on Thursday awarded Engr Seyi Makinde as the Best-Friendly Governor in the history of Oyo State.
The Award and special recognition marked the opening ceremony of ”Year 2021 Press Week Celebration” under the leadership of Mr. Demola Babalola.
The event held at NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun received the award on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Dr. Olatunbosun described the award as a well deserved one for people’s governor, Engr Seyi Makinde. He used the occasion to charge media practitioners to discharge their duties fear or favouritism to anyone and declared the NUJ Week opening.
Present at the award ceremony were; President, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Mr. Yemisi Adeaga, former Oyo Central Senator, (Dr.) Monsurat Sunmonu, the C.E.O of BOVAS among others.
