Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Sunday attended the 8th Day Fidau of late Honourable Justice Bolarinwa Oyegoke Babalakin, CFR, JSC (Rtd) in Gbongan, Osun State.
Late Babalakin was a Supreme former Chief Judge. He died in the early hours of Saturday December 4, 2021 at the age of 94.
According to Governor Makinde; “For those of us in Oyo State, there is so much to celebrate about Baba who gave Oyo State years of dedicated service, serving in the judiciary.
“Baba was also the one-time Chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation. I pray that God will continue to comfort the family he left behind. I also pray that God comforts all those whose lives Baba touched in various ways and gives them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss”.
Present at the 8th day Friday were Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri, former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, ex-speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu among others.
