No doubt, the premier of old western region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo is no more, but his legacy in all human endeavours will continue to be a reference point.
It is not an overstatement to state that Education is one of the top priorities of late sage.
Against this background, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi, Okanlomo of Ibadanland has resuscitated Methodist Primary School, Agbeni, Ibadan.
The school was built by late Chief Obafemi Awolowo in 1957 with capacity of 600 wards.
It has three separate classrooms for toddlers among other facilities.
Senator Akanbi in his genuine interest to immortalize and revive legacy of Chief Awolowo carried out total reconstruction of the school and equip it with modern facilities.
Furnitures, toilets, bore hole, power generating set were provided for the entire among others for effective teaching-learning process. New Headmaster, teachers’ block were not left behind for the facelift.
