Youths from within Oyo State gathered at the Alalubosa residence of Honourable Dapo Lam Adesina to honour the “Lunch with Dapo Lam” meeting on Friday, 28th May, 2021.
The event which aimed at having a nice time with the former lawmaker turned to an avenue where discussion on state of the nation, unity and peaceful coexistence of the youths in the state and the country at large were dissected.
In his opening speech, Honourable Dapo Lam Adesina described the youths as the solution to the problem facing the country at the moment, if they are truly ready to take charge.
According to him, “Nigeria as a country is in shambles at the moment and the youths with their strength have all it takes to change the country for good. Youths are the ones who champion political struggle most especially on social media but their motive most times are not well defined.
“We have reached the time when youths have to be united, where party affiliation must not be a tool to divide them but a means to collectively push their leaders to do the needful.”
Omo Oloore as fondly called many laid emphasis on the need for Nigerian youth to develop themselves by having a second address aside their active participation in politics. This, he said would free them from political enslavement regardless of the offer that is brought to their table.
