The Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote, FNSE said the Centre was established with a view to engaging and training the youths to achieve proficiency in Vocational and Entrepreneurship development in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as well as Welding and Fabrication.
He said the UI vocational school will breed a new set of field ready craftsmen, who would ensure that we change the narrative from dependence on imported goods and equipment to full reliance on Nigerian made products.
“Our mantra is that we produce what we use in the oil and gas industry and employ our people to use what we produce in Nigeria” he stated.
