No fewer than 58 vehicles, including 17 motorcycles, and 4 tricycles amongst others have been apprehended by the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) for violating various traffic rules and regulations.
This operation was carried out as part of activities marking the one-year anniversary of Rtd Major Adekoya Adesagba’s tenure as the chairman of OYRTMA.
The team led by the chairman of OYRTMA, Rtd Major Adesagba, followed by other members of OYRTMA, civil defense, operation burst and the amotekun, the operation successfully apprehended offenders violating traffic regulations.
The operation commenced at the secretariat traversed iwo road, the Ojo-Iwo Road Expressway, and passed through Agbowo, Sango, Mokola, Agodi and Gate.

Rtd Major Adesagba explained that the focus of OYRTMA over his past one year in office has been on community-driven initiatives that improves traffic flow and a culture of safety among drivers and pedestrians, Hence the need for the operation.
He reaffirmed that OYRTMA will frequently undergo operations like this to ensure consistent enforcement of traffic regulations and to cultivate a greater awareness of road safety among the public.
