Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Seun Fakorede has received recipients of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) award for Oyo State.

He met with the three nominees yesterday in his office after they were shortlisted by the office of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo saddled with the responsibility of organising prestigious national award for young entrepreneurs in the country.

Out of the three nominees from Oyo state, Miss Adejoke Lasisi with business name; Planet 3R emerged and was awarded the MSME of the Year.

Fakorede congratulated the winner for  doing Oyo state proud and urged her to work together with relevant stakeholders to develop MSME in Oyo state.

The other two nominees from the state were Mrs. Owoade Oluwatomisin of Abeni Prints and Miss Olubunmi Olalekan of Zucchini Outfit.

The Commissioner encouraged them to do more and not relent in the vision they truly believe in.

Hon. Fokerede acknowledged  that the last year winner of the National MSME Award is from Oyo State which makes it clearer that Oyo State is a conducive place for MSME to thrive.

The youngest commissioner in the country said he has set up a committee to draft a framework to see how youth can benefit immensely from MSME while it thrives.
