The Alaafin and Paramount Ruler of Oyo Kingdom has appointed Barrister Alhaji Bilaal Oseni Akinola, as the new Chief Imam of Oyo land.
In a press release by the Director of Media and Publicity to the Paramount Ruler, this is contained In a letter of appointment personally signed by the Alaafin.
Oba Owoade heartily rejoiced for Allah”s mercy and lesson which He has bestowed on the new Chief Imam by making him a respectable Islamic Leader in the Greta city of Oyo.
According to the Alaafin, “” having passed through the duly screening test, I have the pleasure to inform you that you have been selected by me as the new Chief Imam of Oyo. ?

Federal public service at the defunct National Electric Power Authority NEPA, metamorphosing into also defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria between 2001 to 2013 as a prepayment officer also handling legal correspondences
Officer in charge of the prepayment department of the take over company known as Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company IBDC between 2013 to 2015.
After voluntary disengagement in August 2015, I had been engaging in consistent and regular Da’wah activities for the promotion of Islam, it’s spread and the unity of the Ummat.

MY VISION FOR OYO INSHALLAH
Oyo Town is an ancient City unarguably occupying a position of historical prominence, cultural relevance and religious pace setting pedigree and antecedents incomparable to any city or town in the whole Yoruba land, and with this I stand corrected
I therefore bidhnillah pledge to present all the intellectual resources, Islamic knowledge, in the field of doctrinal sciences and jurisprudential fields coupled with my mental levelheadedness devoid of fundamentalism, extremism and baseless indoctrination in the practice of Islam inshallah
Oyo Town should have a scholar with firm grasp of the tenets, ethics , morals and ethiquette of Islam and the expectation of the entire Muslim Ummat Muslims .
He should in addition be a person of cerebral ingenuity and tested maturity to resolve with due diligence, excellent competence and impartial disposition of any disagreement arising from anywhere as a result of unavoidable human intercourses
