Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has assured all and sundry that his administration will replicate Rungis International Market, Paris in Ijaiye along Moniya-Iseyin road, Oyo State.
Gov Makinde made the statement while signing an agreement in Paris for strategic cooperation between Oyo State and Sammaris, France.
According to Gov Makinde, the agreement signed in the presence of President Sammaris Stephane Layani will prioritise development of a modern agri-food market in Ijaiye, Ibadan.

Oyo becomes the first state in Nigeria to sign agreement with the international market based in France.
Governor Makinde along with his team were given a tour of the Rungis International Market, which is the second largest wholesale food market in the world.

Governor Makinde assured that the market project will be completed this year and create a ready market for wholesale agriculture produce, thereby creating jobs, benefitting farmers and contribute to state’s economy through improved IGR.
