The Chairman Oyo State Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akin Alamu today gave a comprehensive update about the on-going recruitment exercise while speaking on a live radio programme monitored by FRESHPAGE.COM.NG.

The TESCOM Chairman while featuring on private radio station, Fresh fm programme’s tagged “Situation Room” said the commission has captured data of about 90,000 applicants to n the ongoing uploading of documents process.

He maintained that all applicants would participate in the Computer Based Test (CBT) scheduled to hold in August to provide a level playing ground for everyone.

He however pointed that those in the non-teaching category would not take part in the CBT exercise, he stressed that majority of those in that category do not posses basic computer knowledge.

FRESHPAGE.COM.NG had earlier reported the intention of TESCOM employ 10,000 new staff. Out of which 7,500 would work as teaching personnel while 2,500 would work as non-teaching staff.

Pastor Alamu while responding to questions asked said, cut off mark for the next stage of recruitment would be determined after the conclusion of CBT.

Pastor Alamu said TESCOM would invite successful applicants for interview immediately after the conclusion of CBT and resume in September with existing teachers for 2020/2021 academic session.
