Oyo State has recorded 76 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24hours.

This is becoming barely hours after government concluded its plan to reopen schools on June 29.

The Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran expressed government’s readiness to open the schools for students in terminal classes; Pry 6, JS 3 and SS 3.

 

Oyo State Government has embarked on training of teachers on how to handle coronavirus cases while the government has agreed to give out wash hand basins and alcohol based hand sanitizers to wage war against spread of COVID-19.

Each teaching and non-teaching staff will get facemasks after the training according to Dr. Adeniran.

Currently, with the new 76 cases, Oyo State confirmed COVID-19 cases is mow 988. The State is now 4th the most affected state in Nigeria with COVID-19 pandemic.
