The Oyo State Police Command i4 says it has arrested a murder suspect and recovered a locally fabricated single-barrel gun at Budo Panu area of Tede, Oyo State.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), DSP Ayanlade Olayinka disclosed this in a statement to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan.
Olayinka said that the command acted on credible intelligence, following a reported incident of murder.
According to him, the operatives arrested a male adult in connection with the death of Amodu Saliu.
The PRO said that a locally fabricated single-barrel gun was recovered at the scene of the incident.
Olayinka said that the suspect was cooperating with investigators and providing useful information that would help in thorough investigation.
He said that the corpse of the deceased had been released to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites, following a request by the family.
