A week after the beneficiaries of N-Power staged a protest to national assembly to register their displeasure the way they were being treated as regards delayed payment of stipend and other sundry issues relating to exit package.

The Oyo State N-Power beneficiaries yesterday staged a peaceful protest to Governor’s office.

The beneficiaries assembled themselves at the Arcade Ground in front of Government House, Agodi and proceeded to NTA office where representative of the beneficiaries Comrade Babatunde Abiola was allowed to speak with press and presented demands on behalf of his colleagues.

The protesting beneficiaries left NTA and proceeded to Governor’s Office where they were attended to by the Chief Security Officer attached to the office of the governor and Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Kazeem Bolarinwa to Oyo State Governor.

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and his Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan were not around to receive protesting beneficiaries.

Comrade Babatunde Abiola alleged that Governor Seyi Makinde hasn’t responded to several letters submitted to his office by the leader of the volunteers.

‘We came here to have open visit to the Governor of Oyo State, since it up to a year we submitted letters to his office since last year without any response”.

In his response, the SA on Youth and Sport, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa promised the beneficiaries that he will convey their message to Governor Seyi Makinde

The Chief Security Officer collected request letter and photocopies of  previous letters submitted to the office of the Governor.
