The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Oyo State Tertiary institutions comprising the Polytechnic, Ibadan; Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo; Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa; Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate; The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki and Oyo State College of Agriculture, Igbo-Ora has joined eminent Oyo State indigenes in celebrating Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE on his re-election as the Oyo State Governor.

In a release personally signed and made available by the JAC Chairman, Comrade Olusegun Oyewumi, the body thanked the electorates for re-electing the Governor for the second term in office. He also appreciated all staffers in all the higher institutions for believing in the Governor’s efforts in repositioning the higher education sector. According to the renowned unionist, “Your Excellency’s victory at the poll is a testament of the unwavering love of the generalities of Oyo State indigenes for you. Sir, this undoubtedly reflects our show of appreciation to your populist government. Your all-round developmental and giant strides recorded in all sectors most especially the higher education sector are unprecedented, The upgrade of Emmanuel Alayande College to a university status, the sustainability support that ensure full salary payment in all institutions are some out of many and we are very glad to identify with you and celebrate you on your re-election. Your commitment to staff welfare is second-to-none as this was shown in your defrayment of part of the existing arrears owed by your predecessor, while you further committed yourself to paying off the remaining ones. Indeed, Your Excellency is a man of his words!”
