Oyo State Government under the leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde has announced Saturday, 12th February, 2022 as day of tribute for 41st Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Ajé Ogungunniso I who joined his ancestors in January, 2022.

According to a statement released and signed by Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, the day of tribute for Oba Adetunji holds at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium formerly Liberty Stadium, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Governor Makinde described Oba Adetunji as a great servant leader who always put the interest of his people ahead of his own. Eng Makinde reiterated that Oba Adetunji left behind a legacy of honesty, integrity, enterprise and hard work.

The Governor noted that sons and daughters of Ibadanland owe Kabiyesi huge debt of gratitude and urged all to attend the programme as a mark of honour.
