As part of his initiative and commitment to improve Human Capacity Development, Senator Yunus Akintunde has facilitated a training program for some members of Oyo Central Senatorial District through a synergy with notable global organizations and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs to train women on female gender empowerment.
The program held in Ibadan, Oyo State capital was initiated by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, United Nations Women Department in collaboration with Ford Foundations as designed specifically for women. It focused on eradication of female gender based violence development and effective female capacity development and empowerment management.

Among the participants at the event from Oyo Central Senatorial District are; Sakirat Abiola Fatai, Kemi Akinsowon, Temitope Ismail and Dr F. Ayankojo while Hon. Femi Akintunde represented Senator Yunus Akintunde at the closing ceremony of the training program with commendations on the quality and contents of the program.
“The focus of the high powered training will assist us at Oyo Central Senatorial District to sustain our style of dynamic efficient and effective strategic approach towards eradication of gender violence and worthwhile implementation of the various empowerment programs and initiatives that will be need assessment based, rather than generic approach that is just randomly designed.” He emphasized.
The participants expressed their deep appreciation to Senator Akintunde for facilitating such opportunity to be part of the training that is quite thorough and informative.
