Engr Seyi Makinde, Oyo State Governor, on Monday swore in Justice Iyabo Yerima as the Acting Chief Judge of the state.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Executive Chamber, Secretariat. Governor Makinde said that his administration will continue to work with all other arms of government that will prioritize needs and guarantee just and egalitarian society for all and sundry.

FreshPage recalls that the immediate Chief Justice, Justice Muntar Abimbola retired recently and necessitated replacement for justice delivery system in Oyo State.

Governor Makinde, while speaking at the ceremony held at the Executive Chamber, Secretariat, Ibadan said that his administration will give her the supports needed to carry out her duty diligently.

Governor Makinde expressed his confidence in the new Acting Chief Judge’s ability to steer the ship of the judiciary in the state.

He explained that when re-elected under Omituntun 2.0, his administration will even do more to reduce the infrastructure deficit of the Judiciary and complete the work of modernizing the arm of government.
