The leadership of the party, Accord in Oyo state has reaffirmed their allegiance to the National leadership of Accord led by Rev. Isaac Adebayo Adeniyi and his National Working Committee (NWC) executives. The party Chairman in Oyo state Bar Ademola Tajudeen Adeniji said this while speaking on a telephone interview yesterday with the News Agency of Nigeria correspondent in Ibadan.

The interview came after the Abuja High Court 23 under Justice Akobi throw out the application brought by the former National Chairman of Accord, Hon. Muhammad Nalado asking court to stop Rev. Isaac Adebayo Adeniyi and his National Working Committee from parading themselves as the National excecutives of the party.

Justice Akobi finds it unfit to grant the application after the Special National Convention of the party that produced Rev. Adebayo Adeniyi as the new National Chairman of Accord was duly in line with the constitution of Accord and electoral act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended in 2022.

The Judge also reiterated that the October 29th Special Convention was in line with the order given to the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) to take over the party affairs after another Federal High Court 8 Abuja delivered a judgement dissolving the National Interim Committee (NIC) headed by Muhammad Nalado on May 23rd, 2022. Rev. Isaac Adebayo Adeniyi, Hon. Mahmud Abdu, Hon. James Joseph Itiaba, Mogaji Igbinsola Sunday Paul and other National Working Committee executives were elected at a Special National Convention in Abuja.

The state executives committee of Oyo, Ogun and Lagos who have been elected on September 24th 2022 in their various state congresses were also ratified and adopted at the same convention.

Bar Ademola Tajudeen Adeniji and his Oyo state executives vowed to support and give their maximum cooperation to the REV. ISAAC ADEBAYO ADENIYI led executives as they are clamouring for a new dawn of democracy that will be devoid of impunity in the party as they are moving closer to the 2023 general elections.
