The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation, Honourable Oluwabunmi Ayobami Amao ( FITP) has observed that the relationship between the University of Ibadan and her Centre in the past 15 years has been mutually beneficial.
She made the observation during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor in his office.

She acknowledged the hospitality of the University’s Institute of African Studies, which had hosted the CBAAC’s Outreach Office since its establishment through a Memorandum of Understanding.

Honourable Amao, however, requested that the University expand the office accommodation given to the Outreach Office.
She gave the assurance that her Centre would continue to promote the cordial relationship between the two organisations within available resources.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, recalled that the Institute of African Studies had always collaborated with national and international organisations, adding that the relationships had yielded very positive results for both the staff and students.
He noted that many of the collaborations had encouraged student’s mobility through exchange visits.
Professor Adebowale then promised to consider the request for expanded office accommodation.
