The founder of Sotitobire Miracle Centre, Akure Prophet Alfa Babatunde was remanded by the Chief Magistrate Court in OkeEda over the case of a missing one-year-old EniolaKolawole.

It would be recalled that Eniola Gold Kolawole went missing on November 10, 2019 during Sunday Service held at the Church Premises in Oshinle Quarters, Akure.

Following the missing of the boy, property belonging to the Church were set ablaze by the angry youths in the community to register their displeasure with scenario.

In a bid to find the cause of the missing boy, the Prophet of the Sotitobire Church along with six members of the Church were docked.

The Department of the State Services had on December 23, 2019 dragged Prophet Babatunde and six other suspects to court after spending fourteen days in custody on charges bordering on felony, conspiracy and aiding the kidnap of a year-old –boy in the Church premises.

When the application for bail on the case was directed to Director of Public Prosecution, it was agreed upon that the Magistrate lack jurisdiction to hear the matter of such.

Barrister OlusolaOke, counsel to the defendant had earlier argued that there are no evidences linking his client, Prophet Babtunde to offences relating to the missing of the boy.

The Chief Magistrate, Charity Adeyanju, in her ruling ordered that Prophet Babatunde and other six suspects be remanded at the Olokuta Correctional Centre until February 5, 2020 pending the hearing of upon notice of the case at the High Court.
