The Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF) is pleased to inform the general public of the successful hosting of the 7th Edition of its Annual Sports Competition, an initiative deliberately designed to promote youth empowerment, unity, discipline, and community development through sports in Ibarapa land.

The competition featured a blend of physical sports and traditional mind sports such as draughts and Ayo Olópón, thereby promoting both physical fitness and intellectual development. Key events included a Marathon Race and a Football Tournament, among others, which provided a vibrant platform for young talents to showcase their abilities, interact positively, and uphold the values of teamwork, healthy competition, and sportsmanship.
In the Male Marathon Race, Ayorinde Timothy emerged winner with a time of 1 hour 36 minutes, followed by Ayorinde John in second place with 1 hour 39 minutes, while Azeez Abbas placed third with 1 hour 42 minutes.

In the Female Marathon Race, Adepoju Ruth clinched first place with a time of 2 hours 02 minutes. She was closely followed by Makinde, who finished second with 2 hours 06 minutes 08 seconds, while Makinde again secured third place with 2 hours 06 minutes 51 seconds.

In the Football Competition, FC AMBASSADOR emerged champions after defeating UNIQUE FC in a thrilling final, while SUPER STAR FC finished as the second runner-up.
In recognition of outstanding performances, the Foundation presented cash prizes, trophies, medals, and other support incentives to winners and deserving participants across the various categories. These rewards are aimed not only at celebrating excellence but also at encouraging sustained participation in sports and holistic personal development.

The Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation firmly believes that sports remain a powerful tool for steering youths away from social vices while nurturing leadership, resilience, and excellence. The Foundation remains deeply committed to initiatives that inspire hope, unlock potential, and contribute meaningfully to youth advancement and overall societal development.
