Oyo State gubernatorial hopeful, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has sent out his condolence to family of Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji Aje Ogungunniso I who joined his ancestors.
In a statement made available to FreshPage, Mogaji Tegbe said Yorubaland has lost a great monarch who contributed to societal growth through culture and tradition of Yorubas.
” In his lifetime, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji demonstrated genuine leadership by contributing to both local and statewide issues objectively. He was humane, cerebral and accomodating.
“His reign brought peace and progress to Ibadan and his memories will remain evergreen in the minds of the people.
“I condole with Olori, Olubadan in Council, the body of Mogajis, the Oyo state Council of Obas, Oyo State Government and all sons and daughters of Ibadanland in general on the sudden demise of our King.
“My heart and prayers are with the Adetunji family at this period. Kabiyesi lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation. I pray God grants him eternal rest”.
