The Olubadan designate, High Chief Lekan Balogun, has been described as a great and exemplary leader whose love for his people is immeasurable.
This was the remarks of the President of Providence Coalition, Prince Niran Adeyoju, when he led members of the group on a congratulatory visit to the Olubadan-elect in his residence in Alarere area of Ibadan.
According to Prince Adeyoju, the Olubadan-in-waiting has made indelible imprint in his service to humanity, stressing that his ascendancy to the throne is a blessing not only to Ibadan people but Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He noted that the Olubadan-elect’s vast experience as erudite scholar, seasoned politician and renowned technocrat will greatly enrich his rule in taking the city to loftier heights, saying that the people of the largest city in black Africa were lucky to have such an accomplished personality as their traditional ruler.
Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to Senator Kola Balogun, who is also the political leader of the group, Asiwaju Omilabu Ghandi, said Ibadanland is set to witness a new height of glory with the enthronement of the new traditional ruler.
He called on the people to give the new monarch their unreserved support to enable him give his best to his people.
Prayers were offered for the peaceful and successful reign of the new king.
Other members of the group who were in the president’s entourage are Alhaji Adebayo Aruna, Honourable Niyi Ajani Possibility, Dr. Kayode Hamzat, Chief (Mrs) Funmi Arulogun, Honourable Abiola Ayorinde, Alhaji Danjuma Yakubu, Alhaji Bala Jada and Prince Muji Armstrong-Bello.
