A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and gubernatorial hopeful of the party, Dr Ololade Usman Bakare has joined sons and daughters of Ibadanland to congratulate all newly promoted chiefs; Oloye Lekan Alabi,the new Abese Olubadan, Senior Chief Ismaila Akinade-Fijabi, Maye Olubadan, and Senior Chief Saka Fola Lapade, Ekefa Olubadan.
Others were former Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin is the new Agbaakin Olubadan while Senior Chief Muibi Ademola Adewuyi is Aare Alaasa Olubadan. Senior Chief Raufu Delesolu and Senior Chief Hammed Lanihun are the new Ikolaba Olubadan and Asaaju Olubadan.
The cybersecurity expert, Dr Bakare described the elevation of Oloye Lekan Alabi and others as a testament to their exemplary leadership, patience and resilience the Olubadan’s ladder preaches. He remarked that their promotion by Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Ladoja (Arusa I) reflect recognition of their past contributions and confidence members of Oluband-in-Council have in him.
Dr Bakare appealed to all elevated chiefs to continue demonstrating their rare qualities of humility, fairness and peace promoter. Dr Bakare said the promotion Oloye Lekan Alabi and others is a call for more service, emancipation and development of Ibadan land.
