It was a tearful mood for families and loved ones of traditional rulers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State as three monarchs reportedly died in ghastly accident.
According to Daily Post source, the traditional rulers died in a road accident that occurred at Arinkinkin area Ogbomoso on Friday.
The three monarchs were said to be on their way to the funeral of a relative of one of their colleagues in the zone, Oloolo of Oolo Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.
The dead monarchs include Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all from Oriire local government.
The accident reportedly occurred when their vehicle rammed into an oncoming truck killing them instantly.
A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso confirmed the incident, saying their remains have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
Four people were said to be involved in the accident, and the fourth person who sustained injury is reportedly being treated at the hospital, the source revealed, Saturday.
