The Chairman of Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area of Osun State, Barr. Sadiq Samuel (JESMICH), on 17th of December, 2025 formally presented the ₦5,320,967,646.00 proposed budget for the 2026 fiscal year to the Osun State House of Assembly, in line with Section 7 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
The appropriation bill tagged the “Budget of Hope and Restoration,” the proposal signals a renewed phase of stability, inclusive governance, and economic revival at the grassroots following the successful resolution of disruptions previously instigated by unscrupulous political elements. The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to deepen democratic governance and deliver tangible dividends to the people of Ola-Oluwa.

The 2026 budget prioritizes rural economic development, agricultural expansion, rehabilitation of markets and rural roads, educational advancement, and strengthened primary healthcare delivery, with special focus on equipping maternity centres with essential drugs, modern facilities, and qualified medical personnel. Additional provisions cover security support, environmental sanitation, youth and women empowerment, staff welfare, and institutional capacity building.

The budget comprises ₦3,620,967,646.00 for recurrent expenditure and ₦1,700,000,000.00 for capital projects.
Barr. Samuel was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Salaam Ejalonibu; LCDA Administrator, Hon. Omidele Kazeem; Council representatives Hon. Alade Musa, Hon. Gbadamosi Akeem, and Hon. Amusan Stephen; alongside career officers led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Wasiu Bolaji, the Director of Budget, Director of Finance, and other Directors.
The Chairman assured stakeholders of prudent implementation, transparency, and people-centered outcomes.
