The Palace of Olubadan has debunked the viral news that Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja ARUSA I has travelled out of Ibadan to avoid coronation of High Chief Sharafadeen Alli and two others scheduled for tomorrow April 3, 2026 by Oyo State Government.

A palace statement signed by Media Aide of the monarch, Adeola Oloko, clarified that there was no rift between Oba Ladoja and Olori Omo Oba of Ibadanland, Governor Seyi Makinde as insinuated the viral news.
Oloko said Kabiyesi is hale and hearty in Ìbàdàn, and performing the role expected of him as Olubadan. The statement confirmed that the three High Chiefs to be crowned as beaded crown monarchs: High Chief Kola Babalola (Ekaarun Olubadan), High Chief Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin (Ekerin Balogun) and High Chief Sharafadeen Alli (Ekaarun Balogun) have formally informed the Olubadan that they would be unavailable, and asked for postponement.
The Palace said the feedback from the three High Chiefs have been duly communicated to the State Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
