The founder Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation RAAF, Senator Adesoji Akanbi has joined millions of well wishers to congratulate Imperial Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, on his 51st coronation anniversary.
The Vice-Chairman, South West Agenda (SWAGA ’23) Senator Akanbi revealed in his congratulatory message to the first class monarch in Yorubaland that the monarch has facilitated development of Oyo town and others outside Oyo town.
Akanbi, who recalled how the monarch was fond of his late dad, Alhaji Olalere Akanbi, who was Babasale of Musulumi of Ibadanland, said Oyo and Oyo State are lucky to have Oba Adeyemi around since 1971.
”It pleases me to wish Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo, as he clocks 51 years on the Alafinate throne. Baba came prepare for the throne. His 51 years on the throne have brought tremendous development to the town. Even if you are not from Oyo, you will be proud to have him. And this is a courageous Oba who has never shied away from intervening whenever any knotty issues that concerns nation-building is thrown up.
