The National Broadcasting Corporation, NBC has banned money-making adverts on all radio stations in Ibadan following the recent arrest of the proprietor of Crime Alert for allegedly scamming people of about N128 million.
FreshPage recalls that Crime Alert was a able to ‘dupe’ many residents of Ibadan from misleading advert on to make their money work for them. The advert was given wide coverage which made many people to fall for the scam.
In a letter from NBC to the chief executive officer of all radio stations in Ibadan sighted by this online newspaper, it described the recent occurence as worrisome and concerning.
