Some jobs are tailored towards a particular gender, one of such is vulcanizer because of energy and technicality it requires to do the job.

Against this background, Bose Adeleke has distinguished herself that she is up to the task and can deliver maximally for car and bus owners that patronize her father’s stand.

The young lady is an exclusive interview she granted BBC News Yoruba, said that she started with the vocational skills 7 years ago when she was in Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1.

On what informed her parent’s decision, she said her father didn’t want her to be roaming about upon returning from school.

While speaking about early challenges she faced, Bose said her friends do mock her for doing men’s job.

“Initially, my father only instructed me to be coming his shop, but I picked interest in the job and feedbacks from those I have rendered services to motivate me to stay”.

While speaking about the opportunity the skills has given her, Bose said she gets extra money to assist her education career. She revealed that her intention is to study Business Administration in University and become a business owner.

While reacting in the video, Bose’s father, Mr. Samson Adeleke described her daughter as a calm, focused and hard working young lady.

“Her presence in the business has given me opportunity to have more customers. She gets excites doing the job”.

He advised parents to ensure that their children have vocational skills to leverage on in future.
