I join family, friends and associates to celebrate the birthday of Mr Saheed Oyebamiji, a man of many hats, whose life is proof of service, dedication and community development.
As the Vice-President and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Federation of Ibadan Students Union (FIBSU) at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where our paths crossed, Mr Oyebamiji demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, driving initiatives that benefited students and the institution. His pioneering role as National Sports Director, FIBSU National Council, showcases his passion for sports development and youth empowerment. Since then, he has been committed to the service of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
Within the Bashorun Fajinmi Community, Ibadan, he has played pivotal roles, including Member of the Constitution Review Committee, Assistant Secretary, Irepodun Zone 7 and General Secretary, Bashorun Fajinmi Community General Landlords/Landladies Association, fostering unity and progress.
A cultural enthusiast, Mr Oyebamiji has contributed significantly to Ibadanland’s rich heritage, serving on various subcommittees of the Ibadan Cultural Festival Planning Committee. His dedication earned him the position of Assistant Secretary, 2025 Ibadan Cultural Festival Planning Committee, and now, Secretary, 2026 Ibadan Cultural Festival Planning Committee.

As Secretary of the Association of Ancient Ibadan Warlords Families (Egbe Idile Olori Ogun Igba Iwase ti Ile Ibadan), he continues to preserve and promote Ibadaland’s history and traditions.
On this special day, I celebrate Mr Oyebamiji’s unshakeable commitment to community service, his leadership, and his passion for cultural preservation. May his birthday be filled with joy, love and appreciation for his tireless efforts. May Allah bless him with many more years of service, happiness and fulfilment.
