As part of the efforts to solve ugly trend of inter-state insecurity between Ogun and Oyo States, Governors Seyi Makinde and Dapo Abiodun on Wednesday met at the inaugural of Ogun-Oyo joint security held in Abeokuta.

The two neighbouring states have witnessed kidnapping, banditry and other social vices along border connecting the two states, especially at the Onigari axis in recent time.

At the meeting that had in attendance heads of security operatives, the two governors resolved to work collaboratively to address security issues in states to guarantee security of lives and property.

At the end of the meeting, the two governors agreed to set up a high-level joint security and a joint border task force to implement a new security architecture to tackle criminal activities in the states.

This is coming after months of successful inauguration smooth operation of Western Nigerian Security Network codenamed Amotekun to win war on insecurity in the south west.
