Mrs. Yemisi Oni-Hassan’s significant moment today marks another year of a life well-lived, filled with quiet achievements and dedication to excellence. Her remarkable journey, spanning a distinguished career in the Oyo State Civil Service, is a powerful tribute to the impact of humility, faith and perseverance.

Her colleagues and friends describe her as a team player with a warm disposition, always putting others before herself. Her humility and kindness have earned her the respect and admiration of all who know her. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Oni-Hassan radiates happiness and joy, spreading love and warmth to those around her. Interestingly, we are both alumni of the now defunct Oyo State College of Arts and Science, Ile-Ife, now in Osun State, Nigeria, for our Higher School Certificate (HSC).

In a world where self-promotion often takes the centre stage, Mrs. Oni-Hassan’s quiet dedication to her craft and her community is a refreshing reminder of the importance of humility and service. Her achievements in life, she attributes to the unlimited grace of God, demonstrating her deep faith and trust in the Almighty.

As Mrs. Oni-Hassan marks this significant milestone, her influence on countless lives becomes clear. Her legacy shines bright, illuminating the path to true greatness—one marked not by fanfare, but by quiet acts of kindness, selflessness and dedication to serving others.

May the Lord bless Mrs. Oni-Hassan’s twilight years, filling them with joy, peace and love, as she continues to be a shining hope and inspiration to all. “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree; they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.” – Psalm 92:12-13. The Holy Quran says, “And Allah is with you and will never deprive you of your deeds.” (Quran 47:35 paraphrased). May Allah grant her peace, mercy and blessings and may her latter days be her best days—Ameen.

Happy birthday, ma’am! Cheers!
