Mogaji Jubril Alaga

Jubril Adekola Alaga, a distinguished son of Ibadan, has etched his name in the annals of public service with his impressive career. Born on January 15, 1967, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Alaga’s educational journey is evidence of his academic prowess, with qualifications from esteemed institutions such as the University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and the Nigerian Law School.

Alaga’s professional career began in 1992 with the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, where he served in various capacities, including Principal Personnel Assistant, Senior Administrative Officer, and Deputy Director of Administration and General Services. His leadership abilities earned him the position of Head of Local Government Administration in 2019, a role he continues to hold.

As a Barrister-at-Law and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and holder of a Master’s in Personnel Psychology, Alaga’s expertise extends beyond administration. He was installed as the Mogaji of Alaga Compound, Oja Oba, Ibadan South East Local Government, in 2014, showcasing his exceptional leadership, integrity and commitment to inspire and uplift his community. His dedication to community service is admirable.

He is a beacon of integrity, discipline and dedication in Oyo State’s Local Government system. His exceptional strategic planning and talent development skills have earned him respect beyond the State. As a stalwart of Omo Ajorosun Club, Ibadan, an affiliate of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), he embodies community service and leadership.

Alaga’s dedication to quality is evident in his work, inspiring trust and confidence in those he serves. His vision for progress and people-centered development makes him a respected voice in governance and social services.

He is married to Alhaja Dr. Monsurat Ayo Alaga, a respected figure in Oyo State’s Local Government Service and Ajia Iyalode of Ibadanland. The couple is blessed with children.

Alaga’s hobbies include reading and playing table tennis, reflecting his well-rounded personality. His dedication to public service and community development makes him an exemplary figure in Oyo State and beyond.
