The Lagos State Government through Ministry of Environment today, Saturday January 18 arrested environmental law violators and made sure they perform community service by cleaning up the environment with thorough supervision.
The violators who were caught put on customized waste jacket from the enforcement unit of Lagos Waste Management Authority. The Lagos waste management staff supervised those that were caught dumping refuse on the median at Osapa London, Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.
It would be recalled that one of the major low point of the former governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Anbode was characterized with heap of waste scattered across Lagos State.
The Sanwo-Olu led government is demonstrating high commitment in making sure violators of environmental law are not fined alone but meant to participate in community service.
